Celebrating Tet the Strategic Way

As Lunar New Year arrived, Strategic Sports’ Vietnam team gathered in Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate Tet and welcome the Year of the Fire Horse together. Managing Director Norman Cheng and Sales Director Sherry Tai traveled in to mark the occasion alongside their teammates.

The evening opened with traditional lion and dragon dances, symbolically ushering in good fortune for the year ahead. For the Vietnam team, Tet is an opportunity to pause after a busy year, recognize strong performance, and spend time together outside of daily production schedules. And as part of our Global Strategy, extensive factory expansion and increased business made 2025 an especially busy year for our Vietnam team. 

During the program, Cheng shared an announcement tied directly to Strategic Sports’ core mission: everyone would receive one of our motorcycle helmets as a gift. 

“We talk about Protecting Life,” Cheng said. “It feels right to begin the new year by providing our own teammates, many of whom ride motorcycles and scooters for daily transit, with quality helmets we manufacture ourselves.”

The celebration continued with performances from employees and their children, bringing energy and excitement to the evening. Outstanding employees from Q4 were recognized for their contributions, reinforcing the high standards the Vietnam factory continues to deliver even in a busy year. 

A drawing for prizes added excitement to the night, with multiple cash prizes, two iPhones, and even a motorcycle awarded. Supply partners joined the event and contributed additional prizes, reflecting the close working relationships that support operations throughout the year.

As is tradition, Cheng made his way from table to table to offer a toast. With so many people  in attendance, it was no small task.

“With 98 tables, it took most of the evening,” Cheng said. “I may not have reached every one, but I wanted to personally thank as many teammates as possible. Tet is an important moment for our Vietnam team and therefore, to all of us.”

As Strategic Sports enters its 30th year, the Tet celebration in Vietnam reflected both continuity and momentum. A strong finish to the previous quarter, shared recognition, and a clear focus on the year ahead.
