Strategic Sports Vietnam Phase 2: Construction Underway and a New Era of Global Right-Sourcing Begins

Only months ago, our Strategic Sports Vietnam team stood together with leadership, partners, and suppliers on leveled ground in Binh Phuc to celebrate the groundbreaking of Phase 2. Today, that once-empty site is transforming rapidly. The foundation has been poured, piling is complete, and the first structural frames are now rising.

Phase 2 of our Vietnam Factory plan adds another 30,000 square meters of operational space to the existing 30,000, effectively doubling the size of Strategic Sports Vietnam. Construction remains on schedule for completion by the end of June 2026, preparing the site to become one of the most capable, vertically integrated helmet factories in Southeast Asia.

This expansion is more than added floor space; it also incorporates considerable advances in machinery and technical capabilities. With Phase 2 in place, our Vietnam factory will offer the same complete process integration found in our China facilities, including injection molding, painting, decal application, EPS molding, printing, forming, cutting, sewing, and final assembly.  Our in-house test lab will receive considerable upgrades, accelerating development cycles and improving quality control.

In addition to helmets, Phase 2 supports Strategic’s diversification into new protective categories. Dedicated spaces for goggle production—including lens forming, surface treatment, frame production, and assembly—are being built alongside new lines for body armor, including shock-absorbing layer forming, heat-sealing, cutting, and sewing.

Together, these upgrades elevate Strategic Sports Vietnam into a powerful counterpart to our legacy China operations. For global brands navigating an increasingly complex trade landscape, this means a highly capable, modern, and scalable right-sourcing option in the ASEAN region, backed by the technical depth and manufacturing consistency of the Strategic Sports network.

As Managing Director Norman Cheng noted, “Our goal is to give every partner the flexibility to source from multiple world-class factories with the same level of quality and capability, no matter which country they choose.”

From the first Fox VCore Moto helmets shipped in late 2023 to this next wave of advanced manufacturing now rising on site, Binh Phuc continues to play a central role in our mission and the future of helmets and protective gear overall.

“Every new phase in Vietnam strengthens the network we began building more than 30 years ago,” Cheng said, “and brings us closer to our goal of delivering world-class protection to every rider.”

As Phase 2 evolves and Phase 3 nears, the vision that began more than three decades ago of building world-class protection for riders around the world continues to grow stronger, more global, and more connected than ever.
