Our Commitment:
Protect People. Protect the Planet.
Strategic Sports is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.
Guided by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), our path forward is rooted in measurable action and transparent reporting.
STBi- Science Based Targets Initiative
In 2023, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated Strategic Sports’ climate commitments. Our near-term targets align with the 1.5°C global warming threshold and include reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% and Scope 3 emissions per helmet by 51.6% between 2019 and 2029.
This validation places Strategic Sports among nearly 4,000 global companies committed to measurable, science-driven climate action.

Sustainable Facilities
Every Strategic Sports factory—Portugal, Vietnam, and China—operates with the same advanced sustainability features:
Solar power generation for renewable energy
Closed-loop water recycling and rainwater capture to conserve resources
Waste-heat capture systems that improve efficiency
LED and natural-light integration for reduced energy consumption
Materials reclamation loops to minimize waste
Locally sourced materials to reduce transit waste
Global factory strategy to right-shore partner production and reduce the environmental impact of shipping
Sustainable Products & Materials
We believe the future of helmet safety must also be the future of sustainability. That’s why we’ve built innovation pipelines around recycled, recyclable, and sustainable materials that deliver the same trusted protection with far less environmental impact.
RMR: A system that allows helmets to be disassembled at end of life, ensuring each part can be reclaimed and recycled at end-of-lifecycle.
Biodome Materials: From recycled EPS Foam, post-consumer and post-industrial recycled plastics, reclaimed marine plastics, to sustainable natural fibers and materials including bamboo and basalt, we are focused on sustainable materials resulting in helmets that are up to 100% reclaimed, recycled and recyclable materials.
ERT™ & Advanced Foams: Even our advanced, proprietary energy-management materials are engineered with recyclability in mind, ensuring future recovery and reuse without compromising performance.
Reporting & Transparency
In its latest annual ESG report, Strategic Sports details a year of measurable progress and ongoing commitment to sustainability.
The report highlights advancements such as the expansion of photovoltaic power generation across global facilities, continued reductions in carbon emissions, and the integration of sustainability indicators into supplier evaluations. It also underscores new initiatives, including the launch of a helmet recycling program designed to shift toward a circular economy and broaden resource recovery.
By documenting progress in clean energy adoption, supply chain optimization, and material innovation, the ESG report reaffirms Strategic Sports’ role in driving meaningful change across the helmet industry and building a more sustainable future.
