From Team Effort to Grand Prize: One Strategist Wins Big

Success is a team effort, and at Strategic Sports we believe it’s important to share that success with the people who make it possible—our team. With People First as a core value from the start, we return 10% of our annual profit to employees as a bonus, and we use revenue generated from recycled material waste to fund employee celebrations.

We like to win together. But sometimes, it’s exciting for one of our teammates to win something special.

That was the case at our recent Strategic Sports 30th Anniversary Celebration, held alongside TET celebrations and Chinese New Year to welcome the Year of the Fire Horse. As part of the festivities, we held a company-wide drawing and one lucky Strategist took home the grand prize.

Li Shiming, who has been with Strategic for 13 years and currently works as a painter in our raw material process management department at our Vietnam factory, won a brand new XPeng Mona M03. The electric vehicle features advanced technology and offers a range of over 500km on a single charge.

It’s a small world—the president of XPeng is a University of Washington alumnus, the same university Strategic Sports Managing Director Norman Cheng attended before co-founding the company 30 years ago. The XPeng president’s wife, Mona, whom the car is named after, is also a University of Washington graduate.

Congratulations and thank you for your hard work, Mr. Shiming. And keep a close eye on your keys…Norman may be a little jealous of your new ride!
