The 2026 CORSA CUP: A Reminder of Everything we Love about Cycling
When you’re laser-focused on the EPS density, impact dynamics and ventilation of helmet designs, it’s sometimes easy to forget what cycling helmets are for: cycling. The Strategic Sports CORSA Cup brought that purpose back into focus as we came together for a day of rides and racing.
Our event had something for everyone. A total of 81 riders showed up: 13 kids, 15 amateurs, and 53 professionals. The youngest riders kept things simple and fun, circling the basketball court for an afternoon of pure joy on two wheels. No pressure, no clocks, just kids learning what it feels like to pedal fast and laugh harder.
The amateur category covered 20 kilometers, departing from STG Dongguan, winding through Yanling Ecological Park, and returning to the finish line. Flat roads and lovely scenery made it a route built for riders who enjoy the intensity of cycling as much as the scenery.
For the professional category, it was a different kind of event entirely. Fifty kilometers across two cities, starting at Luofu Mountain in Huizhou and finishing at STG Dongguan, with stops at STG Huizhou and Yanling Ecological Park along the way. Steep climbs, loose gravel sections and narrow village roads all factored into a route that demanded both power and endurance.
The event included 17 members from the Medical University Cycling Association and eight members from the University of Science and Technology Cycling Association, along with six notable cycling influencers who brought their own communities along for the ride.
Of course, when your company motto is "Protecting Life”, you consider safety for an event like this. The CORSA Yuanfang Support Team put six staff members on escort duty for the professional group and the for the amateur group, making sure every kilometer was as safe as it was scenic.
When the dust settled, 周明波 of the STG R&D Department took the Amateur Category championship, and 廖奕豪, a medical university student, claimed the Professional Group title.
"Events like the CORSA Cup remind me why we make helmets in the first place," said Norman Cheng, Managing Director of Strategic Sports. "Watching people push themselves out on the road, and knowing we had a small part in giving them the confidence and safety to enjoy their ride…that's the whole point."
