Strategic Sports Expands Vietnam and Portugal Factories to Strengthen Global Supply Chain and Sustainability Leadership

Strategic Sports is proud to announce major expansions at our manufacturing facilities in Vietnam and Portugal, a key milestone in our continued investment in global production capability, product innovation, and long-term sustainability.

These expansions will significantly increase production capacity through additional advanced machinery, enhanced automation, and skilled staff, enabling us to better serve existing customers and meet the needs of new partners worldwide. The upgraded facilities will allow for greater speed, product innovation, and smarter pricing—without compromising our commitment to safety, quality, or sustainability.

“In a time when global tariffs and supply chain logistics are complicating the manufacturing landscape, we’re responding by building smarter, more agile, and more resilient operations,” said Norman Cheng, Managing Director of Strategic Sports. “With expanded footprints in both Vietnam and Portugal, we’re offering our partners a diversified, future-ready solution built on regional strength and global coordination.”

The Vietnam expansion represents a particularly meaningful evolution for Strategic Sports. What began as a modest satellite operation outside Ho Chi Minh City has grown into a key player in our global manufacturing network.

“When I first visited Vietnam in 2017, I wasn’t sure what to expect,” Cheng reflected. “But I quickly discovered a workforce that is incredibly gracious, skilled, and driven. We’re honored to be part of that story and contribute to a local economy that embraces both its past and its future.”

Portugal’s expansion also plays a crucial role, allowing Strategic Sports to better serve European clients with localized production, reduced shipping emissions, and faster turnaround times. As with all of our facilities, sustainability remains a core value—from materials sourcing to energy-efficient processes and zero-waste goals.

“Our goal isn’t just to make helmets,” Cheng added. “It’s to build the most sustainable, reliable, and forward-thinking safety gear manufacturing network in the world—so our customers can focus on growth, knowing they’re supported by a partner who’s built for tomorrow.”

“And we’re not just expanding our manufacturing capacity. At our Vietnam factory we’re expanding our sustainable garden areas where we grow a variety of fruit and vegetables which is available to employees and lunches. It might seem like a minor thing, but it’s actually a big deal for our team,” Cheng said.

Stay tuned for more updates as Strategic Sports continues to expand global operations and lead the way in advanced, eco-conscious helmet manufacturing.
