People First in Practice: Vietnam Factory Child Care Honored by Local TV Station
At Strategic Sports, People First is a commitment we take seriously. A cornerstone of this value is our ongoing effort to support our teammates both at work and at home.
That commitment was recently recognized when our Vietnam factory in Binh Phuoc was featured by a local TV station for being the first in the province to provide on-site childcare for employees. The program was created to address a very real need: giving working parents peace of mind, knowing their children are safe, cared for, and close by during the workday.
“For us, People First means understanding the realities of our employees’ lives,” said Norman Cheng, Managing Director of Strategic Sports. “When parents feel confident that their children are well cared for, they can focus on their jobs and feel fully supported in a meaningful way.”
The childcare program in Binh Phuoc builds on a long-standing commitment across Strategic’s global operations. At our Dongguan facility, an after-school care program has been in place for more than 20 years, providing meals, supervision, and homework support for employees’ children. The program has supported thousands of families, helping create stability and balance for working parents. More recently, a similar initiative was introduced at our Huizhou facility, expanding access to this support.
Each of these programs reflects a consistent philosophy: investing in people means looking beyond the workplace itself.
“We’ve always believed that a strong company is built on strong families,” Norman shared. “These programs are not just benefits…they’re a key part of how we take care of our team.”
Being recognized by local media in Binh Phuoc feels good, and more importantly, it highlights the relevance and impact these programs have on everyday lives of our employees.
