Happy New Year!

On February 24th, we gathered in the courtyard of Dongguan Strategic Sports to say goodbye to the Year of the Rabbit and welcome the Year of the Dragon.

The Year of the Rabbit was full of challenges. We experienced historical contractions in our industry with customers unable to place orders and others even going bankrupt. Aside from business, the Year of the Rabbit saw the passing of two founders. I still remember July of 1996 with Dr. Cheng and Robert Wang launched the factory in Jiangmen with one conveyor belt and a staff of only 20.

But quickly, we added internal processes such as composite shell lay up, vacuum forming and shell trimming. In those days, shell trimming was done not with robotic arms, but human hands. Slowly, we added mold manufacturing, injection molding, and EPS molding. Steadily, we became the largest helmet producer in China and the most vertically integrated helmet producer in the world. In 2013, we established our factory in Portugal and in 2018, we purchased land in Vietnam. Just recently the Vietnam factory shipped our first production for the Revelyst Group.

After the passing of two of our founders, I was asked if I was concerned for the future. I replied, NO! I am not afraid as I am surrounded by the strongest team in the world.  What could I be afraid of?  Our job now is to expand our Strategic vision and Strategic culture to the world.  We will build up Strategic Portugal to have the same processes and procedures as we have in Strategic China. We are no longer a Chinese producer in China. We are a global producer working by international standards and processes.  Strategic China will focus on new product development, new innovations in production processes and achieve carbon neutrality.  With our team, these will be achieved.

I wish everyone a fabulous Year of the Dragon.
